After a month and a half of trying, I have finally opened the pickle jar. I got a tip to knock the side of the lid with the handle of a butter knife 4 times (Thank you SANDY PALUBA). I tried it and heard a pop, then it opened like easy-peasy, like this wasn’t a thing that should have taken a month and a half. The pickles are just okay. But there’s gotta be a lesson here. And it’s… uh, alright, I think the lesson here is… ask for help? Or, don’t buy pickles. Or knives can be used backwards. I’m sure the big takeaway will come to me in a dream in 10 years time.
This week’s passions include: chip clips shaped like chips, “sweetened” seltzer, and putting feta in stuff.
I got chip clips that look like chips. Basically I got a plastic Ruffle keeping the real Ruffles safe. I know it’s stupid, but when I go get a snack, I see it, and I think, how fun is that. Look at that fake chip.
You know they got sweetened seltzer now? It’s soda but they don’t call it soda, they call it sweetened seltzer. It tastes like candy, and it’s clear and it’s awesome. I can’t believe the FDA lets them call it sweetened seltzer. Like we’re a bunch of idiots. Anyway, I’m guzzling the stuff.
I got leftovers. Guess what? I’m putting feta in it. And those leftovers sure get zipped up! Feta’s going into soup, feta’s going into pasta. I feel like I uncovered a life hack here!
And now some from the readers…
Krista: “My little passion this week is “waking up at 2am, having to get out of bed to get a BIG drink of water, and then getting right back in to the warmest spot in bed and falling back asleep!” It happens nightly and during winter it is the best part of sleeping!”
Sharada: “I am passionate about my Roomba cleaning my apartment right after I cleaned my Roomba. It's zooming, it's thriving, I am building a nurturing household.”
Jenn: “Also, my current passion is eating a single Andes Mint after dinner. I got them in my stocking for Christmas, and I know you can eat them whenever but it’s fun to eat an after-dinner mint when intended.”
Let’s hear it for Krista, Sharada, and Jenn!,
